Top Tips for Buyers: How to Find the BEST Gigs on Fourerr

When buying a gig on Fourerr, you need to remember that there are a lot of sellers who are competing against one another for your money. Not all sellers will deliver the same quality of service, but if it is quality you are after, there are a few things you can do to narrow down your contenders and find the best of the best gigs on Fourerr.

Popularity

We have made the site easy to navigate for you. On the homepage you can begin to filter the gigs so that you can find the one that’s right for you. You will find the “Filter By” bar here:

You can then select “Popularity” in order to get a list of the most popular search results. If you are looking for a popular gig in a specific category, you can pick one from the list on the right hand side and then select “Popularity” afterwards.

This way you can get the most popular results but in the relevant category too. Popularity is rated on amount of sales, views and rating a seller has had.

Rating

The rating a gig has is decided on the amount of positive feedback other buyers have left on that particular gig. This means that sellers with 100% positive feedback will be listed first in descending order of rating so that you can opt for the top quality candidates! The star rating is just like the rating you can give a film – the more stars out of 5 a gig has, the more popular it is.

Express Gigs

If you need super-fast delivery (i.e. within 24 hours) then you can order an “Express Gig” from Fourerr – these are the gigs that have been set by the seller as “Express” simply because the gig will be with you within 1 day at most. You may also want to select a category first and then find the express gigs so that you don’t spend ages looking for the type of gig you want.

Editor’s Pick

Our editors at Fourerr are constantly on the lookout for gigs which can inspire, educate, or conjure up a smile. Therefore, if you trust Fourerr and are looking for creative gigs, you can rely on the Fourerr editor’s judgement of certain gigs in order to find the best.

Featured

Gigs with the orange “Featured” banner across the gig icon shows that the seller has committed to “featuring” their gig for 30 days. This means that they are willing to invest $5 so that you can see their gig and buy from them!

Tips to Find the Best Gigs

  • Look for something out of the ordinary in the “Fun and Bizarre” category
  • Look for good seller stats as well as good gig stats
  • Always read feedback before buying a gig
  • Look at people who have “Liked” a gig

Not happy with your Fourerr purchase? This is what you can do!

Sometimes it can happen that you put all your good faith and money into one seller promising you exactly what you have been searching for.

When the seller delivers the service and it isn’t really what he was promising, assuming you had previous communications with the seller what can you do next?

 The order is not what I wanted, what can I do?

First of all never complete an order until you, as a buyer, are 100% happy with the order. If you are not happy then simply communicate with the seller and say that you are not happy and indicate what your expectations were. Perhaps it was just a simple miscommunication and the seller doesn’t want to ruin his good reputation and therefore will be able to help.

After you have received the order and you are not happy then use the “Reject Delivered Work” button on the Order page. This then indicates to the seller that you were not happy and that you are not willing to pay for the order. You will not pay for the purchased Micro Job until you are happy.

Your money is safe on Fourerr. If the seller fails to respond then your money is returned to you.

My order is late what can I do?

Just check kindly with the seller what the reason is that the order is delayed, perhaps he was tight up or the order was more complicated then expected and exceeded his time frames. In this case you can use the “You and the Seller Agree to Cancel“, the money will be returned within 3 days if the seller doesn’t respond.

Under all circumstances your money is returned into your Fourerr account if you are not happy with the order. Your money is 100% safe with Fourerr and we will only release your money to the seller when you are happy.

There is no need to contact the helpdesk or to check with PayPal as your money is safe on Fourerr. Ofcourse you can contact the Helpdesk at any time if there are any disputes.

I’m happy with my order, what should I do?

Complete your order, leave a positive feedback for the seller and share your happiness with others.

If you are really happy with the order then shout it from the rooftops and share it with your friends on Twitter or Facebook.

How to Find Buyers and Keep Them!

Ok, so finding buyers isn’t the easiest thing in the world, but nor is it the most difficult! If you come to Fourerr with a negative mindset and under the assumption that you won’t get any sales, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. However, if you think positive and actively look for people to sell your services or goods to, you will soon be boosting your income and making some great new business connections.

Hunt Them Down!  (like an Eagle)

Buyers may not be able to find you – especially if you are new to Fourerr and have no ratings yet. What you need to do is actively seek out potential buyers or people that might be interested in your services. Use the ‘Suggest Gigs’ box to look for buyers that are looking for something specific. It may take a bit of hunting around, but buyers on Fourerr are desperate for you to find them. If you make the effort to offer your services before anyone else – they will love your proactive thinking!

Produce Top Quality Work

Once you have your buyers, you need to keep hold of them. Many of the buyers on Fourerr are not just here for a ‘one time’ experience. Make the most of multiple purchases by producing top quality products and services and keep your standards high. Buyers love sellers that go that extra mile, and if you can charm them into make repeat purchases, even better!

Social Networking Sites

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – social networking sites are great ways of getting hold of new customers. Whether you use your own personal account to try and sell your Fourerr services to friends (and friends of friends!), or if you set up a professional profile to promote yourself, each way is a great way of reaching out to new people.

Build a Reputation

The MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR in finding buyers and keeping them is to build your reputation. Without a good reputation, buyers are very unlikely to come to you for your gigs. Once you have made your initial sale, you will need to:

  • Stay polite and courteous – Even if the buyer seems a little abrupt, don’t take it personally. They might just be having a bad day – don’t let it affect the way you treat them. Even if a buyer is insulting in their feedback, thank them and move on!
  • Keep in contact with your buyer – Offer them the service again and remind them that you are still available to provide the service.
  • Ensure that your product or service is top notch – A great quality gig is guaranteed to get great reviews. This will mean that your ratings and gig statistics are boosted, making you more visible to other buyers!
